A former convent on the top of a mountain, is a sophisticated and very quite hotel. The rooms are large with a nice view and decoration.

Our room was very noisy due to broken air conditioning unit. Even when the system was switched off, this still made a noise and kept us awake every night of our stay (2 nights). Not too far from the historical center of Belmonte, a converted convent with views of the valley below. Very comfortable rooms, interesting bar and lounge areas, and excellent breakfast buffet.

Really beautiful hotel in a wonderfully converted convent. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely food and large comfortable rooms. Perfect location to access Portugal's highest mountains and hidden valleys and a wonderful place to return to after a day's walking and sight-seeing. Practically perfect!
