Before restoring, it was a bad expensive hotel with just an advantage: close to the ski slopes. After restoring, a little nicer, but terrible lighting, wery weak bulbs in the br and rest areas, almost dangerous. The owner chose the cheapest fixtures with the smallest possible bulbs: maximum energy saving. Small dark rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights in September as part of a package with a well known UK operator catering for the over 50's. On arrival the place was empty and cold, devoid of any semblance of warm welcome. The rooms allocated all looked out over very large Fir trees which are no more than twenty feet from the rooms and... More

This is my first time in Romania and one of my only stays in a 3 star hotel, usually I stay in more expensive hotels, but this time the hotel was picked by the package tour operator. I stayed for 6 nights on a half board plan. Poiana Brasov is a one street strip with more than 10 hotels, in... More

I totally agree with one of the previous reviews depicting a negative experience in the Hotel. I have been there for a 5-day training and was not able to attend the training at all and even left before it ended. I got a soar throat after the first night and then got colder and colder. The management refused to provide... More

We booked a room with a balcony and a "mountain view" several weeks before arriving in Poiana Brasov. On arrival we were given a room with no balcony and, well, an extreme close up mountain view - the window was a few feet away from a slope covered with pine trees. We were told there were no better rooms available;... More

I have stayed 6 nights and many times there was no running water (cold or warm) or heat. They explained us that the twin hotel "Sportul" is under renovation but this is no excuse. They should close both hotels. During the week there were few customers so getting breakfast was quite an experience because we had to chase waitresses through... More

The hotel is really good value, and in truth probably a better standard than we were expecting for the money. The bedrooms are pretty modern with nice bathrooms and are perfectly clean and tidy. The restaurant is shared with the Sport hotel and all the food was a decent standard (hot buffet style) with a choice of meals morning and... More

Just arrived back from our holiday in romania went with my husband and 2 children aged 11 and 9. Stayed in the hotel bradul but had use of the facilities in the sport and poiana hotels too. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable, rooms cleaned and towels changed daily. All inclusive food menu was nice, everyday there was something different,... More

After traveling through much of Eastern Europe, I would have to say this was the worst hotel I have stayed at. First we arrived and there was no one to take our luggage. We carried our luggage up a flight of about 20 steps. The elevator only went to the next floor and my room was another flight up. Worse... More

The worst experience we ever had. Although supposedly a 3 star hotel, the room was very cold and draughty, bathroom &towels looked shabby. We asked to be provided with an extra blanket, we had to ask again and after an indulgent look and half an hour,s waiting we finally received the blanket. The mattress on the bed was worn and...
