We stayed one night on the way out to Islay but next time we will stay one extra night in Tarbert. Tarbert was a big surprise and really nice. The Moorings was great and Andrew was an excellent host. The view of the port was great and the rooms were nice and clean. We will definitly come back!

Although the rooms are small, they are beautifully decorated and clean. The views of the harbour entrance are superb. The cooked breakfast is huge, no need for lunch. Andrew was very accommodating, serving an early breakfast so we could catch the first ferry from Clonaig. We hope to use this B & B again.

You get the feeling you have been expected and everything is ready and waiting the minute you enter the house. If the weather is cool, there's warmth inside. Cannot fault the welcome, food and facilities at the Moorings. Andrew looked after us and went that extra mile by washing our cycling kit. The recent addition of the cycle shed was also much appreciated as it meant our bikes were safe and secure overnight.
