We really enjoyed staying in the dwyka tented lodge for the location, the sceneries, the luxury of the place while being a place with relatively little guest. the service was very good, the people very nice. we liked the desertic aera with beautiful landscape and sun set. the quiteness was extraordinary.

What a place!!!! An hours drive through mountains on gravel roads is well worth it when you arrive at the Gondwana Lodge. Warmly greeted with iced tea on arrival we were shown to our luxury room complete with terrace and hammock for lounging. Met Gretta our drive expert and off we set to spot cheetas, elephants, giraffes and lots of... More

This was my first ever Safari during my first trip to South Africa and Sanbona came through and exceeded my expectations. Pros: -Beautiful accomodations as we stayed at the Dwyka camp which is gorgeous and received excellent food at the lodge for the three meals each day...you are not at risk of under-eating here. -Great guides (JAN IS THE BEST)... We selected Sanbona specifically to cater for our son & his cousins (6 to 8 years) & family and we stayed at Gondwana Lodge for 2 nights early April. Sanbona turned out to be an excellent choice and we all had a wonderful safari experience. Travelling to Sanbona from Cape Town was a long journey (4 hrs) and the courtesy... More

We "experienced" the Explorer Camp for 3 days with 2 nights sleeping in real tents in the wilds. It was a really great experience. No animals came into our tents at night except a lovely mouse in the portaloo tent -we need not have worried ! The great thing about this safari was the company -tent 1 us married 30... More

Stayed here in February 2013 for 3 nights in a Dwyka Tended Lodge and had a wonderful time, certainly the highlight of a trip to Cape Town and surrounding area. The accomodation was everything I'd hope for and more but perhaps the outdoor furniture could have done with some minor repairs. Loved the quietness and seclusion of the lodge, the... More

The whole thing was a fantastic experience. From the brilliant guide we had (Suritha) to the very friendly staff at the Dwyka lodge. I am not sure what the other lodges were like but this one was first class. Food and accommodation were both perfect. If you can spend some money to go get a massage. Very relaxing (I almost... More

A wonderful location in the klein karoo. Top class hotel. Wonderful private rooms with open air showers and outside balcony. Every facility you could ever want. Food to die for along with superb wines. The safari experience covered the big5, together with lots of other animals. Guides well versed not just in the animals but the geology and plant life... We were a party of 7 and were touring South Africa for two weeks in January and planned a night of luxury and all I can say boy did we get it! The Dwyka Tented Lodges were far more than we could have expected from their polished concrete floors to the divine plunge pools, it was such a romantic and... More
