Had a great stay at HB this season. Not my first visit. Casita was wonderful--spacious, clean, private, close to everything I wanted to do! Morning breakfast keeps you satisfied all day long. Saves a meal with no need for lunch. Enjoyed socializing with other guests in reception area. Tico rules make pool table a challenge to hold, but twice as... More

If you are thinking of visiting Costa Rica, the first place you should consider for your stay is Hotel Buenisimo. Recently I stayed at Hotel Buenisimo for one week and my visit was pure bliss the entire time. I stayed in the garden room, which was fantastic! Located in the BEAUTIFUL, scenic Nicoya Peninsula, Hotel Buenisimo boasts hot water, AC,... More

It was our second time back to Costa Rica, the first time we were robbed, so it was soooo nice to stay here because we really felt safe. Charlie the owner checked on on us and really took care of our high expectations. W strongly recommend a quad tho! It's a steep hill. Our views of the sunset were hands... More

After staying at a less than desirable hotel, I found Buenisimo online and was lucky that they had a cancellation and a room for us. Charlie, the owner came and picked us up from our other hotel down the street. He then showed us to our casita which was beautiful and had a great view of the ocean. He then... More

I met someone on the ferry from Puntarenas who tipped me off about Buenisimo. We stayed in the garden room because we did not rent an AWD vehicle and did not want to walk up and down that steep hill! Which is just as well, because wifi has a hard time reaching the casitas, which by the way are beautiful!... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from our first trip to Costa Rica. After a stressful first day of travel from San Jose, during which our AWD rental car was unavailable and we were given a sedan to drive some of the worst roads imaginable (at night!), it was such a relief to arrive safe and sound to the... It is not my place to 'review someone else's review' but I thought it important to place my own (hopefully) fair and balanced report to counter the other garden room review - which is the ONLY blot on the Buenisimo's otherwise spotless record! (go figure). Their high rating speaks for itself and the owner is obviously too cool to write... More

3 of us stayed in one of the hotel buenisimo casitas for a week and had a wonderful time. The casita had everything we needed and more. When looking at places to stay, the deciding factor for us was breakfast. Each morning Claudia made us the most fabulous breakfast alternating between gallo pinto, eggs, fresh fruit & toast or banana... More

This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Santa Teresa area of Costa Rica. The hotel has three fully furnished casitas, and two? rooms - all set among the trees well above the (very) dusty main street of Santa Teresa. The rooms are at the main lodge and easy walking distance to all the activities on... More
