Visited for 3 nights and The Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. The property, rooms, food, and guides were top notch. I highly recommend the Lodge as a casually elegant home base for birding in the area. Raul, the owner, visited with us for a bit and clearly takes great pride in creating a special experience for his guests.

Wow, this place is fantastic. The birding, the weather, the guides, the food, the rooms! It's just pitch perfect. The laid back atmosphere is really wonderful.

Food, property, and staff are excellent. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. I am not a birder, which is a major attraction here. We went on several birding hikes, saw toucans, monkeys, hummingbirds and many more, with patient, very, very knowledgeable guides.

Whether you are a birder or nature lover -- this upscale resort has everything. From spacious and well appointed rooms, delicious and healthy food to a staff who will cater to your every need. And the birds we saw on the property like the Rufus Motmot, Amazon Kingfisher, Crimson-backed and Golden-hooded Tanagers and on daily tours were spectacular.

If you are not into birding this is not your best choice for a rain forest experience in panama. Wonderful bird sitings and beautiful natural surroundings but quite expensive for the very average level of services and amenities.

Canopy Lodge is a great place to enjoy everything that El Valle has to offer 'naturally'!
