My husband and I travelled to Greece as a sort of second honeymoon with our first stop being the Aegean Palace hotel. The hotel grounds are beautifully kept. They have a big pool (very clean) and a playground for children. The beach is about a half mile walk, which isn't bad, except the walk back is uphill! The beach was... More

We arrived late at night at Aegean Palace and were welcomed by the manager Dmitri who stayed late just to welcome us (how warming!). We were ushered to our VIP Suite where there was a welcome tray, house wine and a light meal (sandwich, tomatoes, cucumber & olives) because they figured we haven’t had dinner. The kitchen was closed by... More

Let me start on the nice things. Hotel is nice and clean, the staff is nice, food is good. But if you want a relaxing holiday, think again. The problem is in the animation group -ITAKA RELAX CLUB. The animation team is there to entertain the guests (this is what I thought ) and not to make them go deaf. They... More

I was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at this hotel. The grounds are beautiful and our room was ready early. The rooms themselves are very basic and the beds are like sleeping on the box spings with no mattress on top (seriously, we tucked our blankets under the bottom sheet to try to make it a bit softer). However, for the... More

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days with a child of 7 years. Rooms are basic - we had a junior suite with pool - but well serviced and clean with everything you would expect. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly making the experience a delight. Well maintained pool with relaxed atmosphere with little in the way of noise... More

We spent five days in this hotel with our baby and had great time. The saff gave us a warm welcome and we had a large room, with private pool for the best price in Greece. We had privacy and it was easy for us to move around the hotel with the pushchair plus the beach was only 100 meters... More

Stayed at this hotel July 06. Good standard accommodation, very clean and well maintained. Reception staff particularly helpful. Beach 200yds out of hotel entrance, pebbly and sandy just a little further. Food at hotel good quality but limited choice so would be difficult if fussy eaters. Not much to do around hotel, particularly in evenings but short bus ride into... More

We truly enjoyed our room at the Aegean. The secluded location is West of Plantanias and Chania on the Aegean in a very good location for Samaria Gorge or Balos trips. I do not recommend staying in Platanias unless you like tourist traps The Aegean Palace off the beach a bit, and you can choose a view or a private... More

We had been planning this trip for several months. My mom is from Athens and our family (all 8 of us) traveled to Greece on one of those "once in a lifetime trips"-one of our stops being Crete. I have to say the grounds were very pretty, but to call this hotel "beachside" is a a stretch-the beach was a... More

I would like to apologise for the troubles you had in our hotel but I do not agree that our staff is unfriendly and did not want to solve your problem. Unfortunately we had a big problem with electricity and of course that brings problem with A/C in the hotel. I would like to remember you that we annouced to... More
