We just spent three nights in beautiful Porta Castellana. Annalisa made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. She gave us lots of helpful information regarding places in town and nearby. The room is very comfortable and extremely clean with a great view. Breakfast was served outside in the garden with a gorgeous view. Extremely relaxing. You can... More

My partner and I recently stayed at this B&B and we had such a lovely time. We received a room with a four poster bed, which was unique and added to the Tuscan/romantic feel. The bedding and bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable (a hairdryer was supplied). The breakfast was brought down into our room, which was appreciated. It was... More

What a wonderful B&B! Annalisa made us feel right at home upon arrival. We enjoyed our two night stay here. The town is very romantic. The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the stone and brick interior. The shower is a little small. There are a lot of steps to get to the main piazza(or you can walk... More

Good location in the center of Montalcino, close to nice restaurants and amazing wine stores with good prices. Place looks very familiar and Dida, who run it, is always ready to help whatever you might need. Rooms are at the first floor of a two store house, and had a nice rustic decor. Average breakfast, similar to many ohter we... More

Dida made our stay a real pleasure, with excellent hospitality, expert guidance, and a wonderful room. Parking right in front, a beautiful view of the valley and of the hillside olive tree orchard, and a few steps away from the restaurants and cafes in Montalcino. We look forward to returning!

This place is like a dream! We loved the view, the beautiful room with the arched ceiling, so nicely decorated, and the lovely gazebo and peaceful garden! Annalisa is such a wonderful, friendly and helpful host! She greeted us by letting us pick sweet apricots from her trees, and even showed us the way out of the city when we... More

We (me and my husband) stayed at Porta Castellana two nights (28-30.04.2012.) on our way to Amalfi. What you can seeon the hotel`s website speaks for itself (it`s not really a hotel but who cares). What you can`t see is its owner - Dida. She is a lovely person, makes you feel at home and the best concierge all the... More

Very cute, homey spot. Dida is a lovely lady and happy to help with reservations and recommendations and planning of activity for the day. There is a beautiful garden with a view out from Montalcino over the valley. It can serve as a good location to roam Tuscany. It is probably good to plan to eat dinner in town as... More
