We recently stayed at the hotel while visiting family over in Castlerea. This hotel was once a GREAT hotel that fell on some hard times withthe economy, and had actually closed for a while (we were told). The current owners have had it for about two years. While there are signs of deferred maintenance - or planned economies - the... More

I made my booking in August for early October. Approaching the dates of my stay, I wanted to check with the hotel: according to their website, there's no breakfast service before 0830, and (this beggars belief) no cooked food after 1600. I emailed the hotel: no response. I telephoned the hotel: no one answered my call at 10am. I had... More

This is a tax break hotel. There are hardly any employees here. They use cct cameras instead of staff. When I had to wake the skeleton staff up at 8am to inquire into breakfast I decided not to bother and check out. No night porter, front doors locked all night. Keep on driving west and give this dump a wide... More

I am very sorry you were unhappy with your stay. However I'm disappointed that you didn't make any complaint to us on your visit. I have reviewed your stay with us and I find your comments to be unfair and untrue. You say this is a tax break hotel? where did you get this information? Untrue Hardley any employees you... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the White House Hotel. The staff were the friendliest I've ever met and made us feel at home. The hotel itself was clean and nice and the rooms were large warm and clean. The Bar food was excellent and reasonable in price. There was great entertainment at the hotel the weekend we stayed. If... More

The room we were in was still dirty from the previous users, with unmade beds, used towels and toilet a mess. No hot water at all. No heating on a night that was below freezing. No lights in the corridor at night on a multi level stepped hallway was incredibly dangerous.

I'm disappointed that you were not happy with your stay in the White House Hotel. I have investigated your complaint and have discovered the following. When you checked in you were unfortunately shown to a room that housekeeping hadn't got to at the time. For this we apolgise. However you were offered another room but said that you liked the... This is a real find! What a surprise when we stayed there on a trip to Roscommon. The food as great, carvery all day every day at affordable prices. The staff could not do enough for us and the overall experience was wonderful. The price for rooms were also a big plus.

This is a great hotel in an excellent location. Myself and some friends had planned a fishing trip in Roscommon. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel near Lake O'Flynn where we would be doing most of our fishing, as well as the other smaller lakes nearby. The hotel has recently been refurbished and the staff were very friendly.... More

Arrived at the Hotel staff were very friendly and let us have our room early. Property could do with some updating as some areas are rather worn. Bar food very reasonable, unfortunately their main restaurant remained closed for a few days due to lack of custom which was rather disappointing as their website indicated an excellent restaurant which we did... This is a great little hotel to stay at between Dublin and the West Coast of Ireland. There is not much to the town (eg restaurants etc ) but for an overnight stay the hotel provides good clean rooms, a lift, and a cosy restaurant with great food at a reasonable price. We paid 85euros for the night and 34euros... More
