Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast in very pleasant surroundings. Good evening meal. So homely and comfortable. Very large bathroom. Stayed in room 2 with superb views of hills around. Will come again and ask for same rooms.

The staff are welcoming and very helpful the food is lovely and homemade at a good price and the full english brekfast is great for the price which you pay for your room as it is included in with the room. Been to the golden lion many times, always had a friendly welcome.. Enjoyed the food & friendly atmosphere... There events thru the yr are great esp the 1940's weekend a recommend stay in my books...Breakfast was a good standard - full English....eve'n meals were gd....
