What's not to like? This place has had a major refurbishment since last time I was in, and they've done a really nice job of it. They've left it like a proper pub, rather than go the 'wine bar' or 'restaurant with bar' route. Nice open fire on a cold bar too....

A lovely comfortable, clean, warm establishment, with perhaps the best pub food I've ever had. We visited in Jan 2013. The atmosphere is nice with real coal fire and snug type seating areas. The meal times at lunch are between 12 & 2 and the menu is good.
