I was traveling alone from Iona and was met in the rain at the train station by Ben, who went out of his way to transport me, another of his guests, and a couple of other travelers in search of a B&B to a neighboring establishment even though his place was full for the night. Service, friendliness, nice digs for... More

My husband and our daughter stayed for 1 night at Mallaig. Our host Ben was very friendly, welcoming and gave us a lot of information of places to go and visit. We had reserved a family room, but got "up graded" as Ben offered kindly a room for our daughter. Good breakfast. Mallaig is a nice little harbour. We arrived... More

The owner was very friendly and helpful, even picked us up so we wouldn't have to carry our bags a short distance up the hill. Nice views across to Isle Skye, and we were lucky to see fabulous sunsets from the B&B. Huge cooked breakfast.

Lovely en suite room, a great breakfast and well-priced. Ben is a super host - he gave us the most in-depth introduction to the B&B and the town of Mallaig, offered all kinds of advice, and drove us to the station on the day we left. Excellent service. Thanks Ben.

I stayed with Family (of an infant and a young brat) at Ben's place; and the fact that minute details around our comfort were taken care of, served as cherry on the top. THe view from the Family room is amazingly breathtaking; and does justice to the whole place itself. Ben himself is a brilliant host and the brief encounter... More

The room was rather fussy, with various gadgets around, some of which did not work. Our host was very friendly and helpful, and too much so for us generally (but in one specific we are very grateful to him). Quite a hilly walk to town - but good for us!

From the moment we arrived we were looked after really well. Ben was a great host and understood how to cater for vegetarians. The room was a bit small but comfortable and clean. The B&B was a five minute uphill walk from Mallaig town centre and had a wonderful view from the veranda at the front. We would definitely stay... More
