You get what you pay for at this hotel , cheep and not necessary cheerful 70s style hotel in need of a revamp food very average , rooms dated but everything functional , staff good.

My wife and I are completely baffled by whinging complaints about the Planamar's staff. We found everyone to be hard working, efficient and exceptionally friendly. I stayed at the Planamar 5 nights from 22/05/12 to 27/05/12. I cannot fault the staff from bar, reception, restaurant and chambermaids. All had a smile and were very helpful. We moved to Planamar from the awful Casino Royal. This hotel is located by the beach and short walk to rail station and shops. The staff are very friendly and service very good. Rooms are clean tho small. The food is of limited choice, but mostly fine, for the money you can't complain. Basic evening entertainment, a few kids activities.... More

This is a great A/l hotel in a good location, lots of great places nearby. Food Good, Bar great lots to choose from, rooms standard but clean, staff great. Would happily stay again.
