I can now understand why this place is so highly rated. Our 6 night stay was perfect. Kath & Brian couldn't do enough for us. Our breakfasts were loaded and well tasty. They gave us no end of good advice for things to do in the area (with detailed internet printouts!). The room itself was spotless up to date. We... More

Brian met us with an extremely warm welcome and gave a full explanation of all the facilities. He suggested a place to eat and it was no trouble to make the reservation for us, as they do get busy. We were offered fresh milk for the room and it was nice to have the option of hot chocolate. Room and... More

We have stayed in Glenavon for two nights in August. Service and facilities were excellent and we loved the area. Owners were able to provide advice on possible cycle routes, places to eat and all sorts of travel tips. We have very much enjoyed our stay and can honestly recommend this B&B.

Stayed one night while on east highland way, the lovely owner Kathleen very kindly telephoned our next accommodation for us to let them know we would be arriving earlier than planned. Room comfortable and clean, breakfast lovely. So hospitable and an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Don't be put off by the house being situated next to the Co-op - it's quiet, comfortable and has a great atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble; the breakfast was perfect and they made the effort to go over the map with us for our next day's walking, suggesting a route that we took and it was indeed a better... Brian and Kathleen were absolutely wonderful and we instantly felt welcome in their lovely property in Newtonmore. We had the bedroom with the balcony upstairs, and the room was fantastic. Big comfy bed, and large bathroom. Very clean and tidy. The cooked breakfast was gorgeous and there was a wide variety of other options if you didn't want a fry... More

It's a lovely guest house with very high standard and cozy rooms. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean and more modern than I expect from a B&B.
