The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our needs. Our host picked us up from the bus stop and escorted us back to the hostel. He booked all of our activities for us with short notice. The room was kept clean and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The price is great as well!

Camino Verde B&B was a nice experience. Breakfast is typical, healthy and strong. It is a good start for the day if you are planning to do long activities. Staff is very friendly and they guide you the best activities around Monteverde. Price for private room is reasonable with the breakfast. You'll find cheaper hostels in the city but with... More

If I was younger and more sure of foot, and hadn't been traveling with my 78-yr old mother who leaks a lot, this would have been great for the price. All reviews are pretty accurate, but I didn't realize it was a ways down a rocky dirt road, and a ten-minute hike to any shops. Actually there is a small... More

The place was clean, the rooms were just the right size (not too big, not too small). The breakfast included was very good. The location was perfect - just far enough to get some quiet time, but close enough to walk to any points of interest. The atmosphere was great - laid back and friendly. It was great to make... More

We stayed at Camino Verde much longer than we thought we would, to easy to get stuck there :) It's a great B&B with nice rooms, good kitchen, the best breakfast and the staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. The best place we've stayed at in 5 month of traveling!

This B&B/hostel is affordable, clean and perfectly located in Santa Elena within the Monteverde area. Jose was awesome, as was Tina, who fixes delicious breakfasts and does laundry at a low cost for those of us who pack light and don't have the time to do a load for ourselves. All of the guests a Camino Verde reflected the welcoming... More

We had a great experience at this hostel. The rooms are basic - ours had some bugs, but nothing terrible for being a hostel near the rainforest. The staff were awesome. Jose at the front desk is the man. He was there most of our visit and helped us with anything we needed. Downtown Monteverde is a 5 minute walk,... More

I thought the value at Camino Verde was very good. The room we stayed in was clean and quiet--very quaint. The breakfast was wonderful, made to order like a restaurant--not a buffet and Ballesca, the 10-year old, was a charming hostess. I couldn't have asked for a better stay, and for the price, it was great!

We stayed at the Camino Verde for four nights in late April, 2012. We had a room with a private bath(other rooms share a bath). Jose, the manager, was extremely helpful. Camino Verde is clean and basic. We did change rooms after two days because there was a bit of a sewer odor in our room which was located next... More
