Found myself to be the only guest in my dorm for two nights. Right in the centre of small but handy Santa Elena. The 6 bed dorm was extremely clean, extra blankets & ensuite bathroom. Bryanner and Evan were fantastic and we trusted them enough to not even try to negotiate. They booked our rafting, gave us a free breakfast and even got us a taxi when our bus to the night walk forgot us. Great rooms, excellent price and the restaurant to the left of the hotel is very good and cheap.

Santa Elena is a great base for the activities around Monteverde. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in town. The Hotel Oasis is conveniently located on the south triangle base of the main part of town. If you drove there, you can park across the street (5 spaces), or in the two-car berth beside reception if you are lucky.... More
