We tend to prefer small, offbeat lodgings to hotels. Barefoot offered what we were looking for. You can expect a wonderful amount of personal attention from Bob and Keishya -- Keishya's custom-made maps of the area are fantastic! The maps really helped us feel comfortable exploring the area and our hosts' knowledge of the local restaurants made our trip even... More

What a charming place, great pool, close to the awfull beach, but the beach 2 kilometers long. Everything was good but the smell of the owners on your shoulder. Not enough privacy.

We are sorry to hear this traveler did not enjoy their stay here and felt the privacy was insufficient. We do our best to balance privacy and space for our all guests with being easily available when needed to answer questions, give assistance or suggestions if requested. The guesthouse facilities including the guesthouse kitchen swimming pool and patio areas are... More

Very nice hosts who assisted us in finding off the map places. We talked several times before arriving on local spots to visit on our way to their home- So patient and helpful! We went kayaking and snorkeling, walked the beaches and explored the local areas. Very helpful and nice people. Very reasonable prices at the house and excursions! If... More

Excellent hosts! Nice walks on the beach and in the nature reserve plus kayaking to Monkey Island with snorkeling or just lazing around the pool. Safe on-street parking in a gated community. Internet in the lounge. Common kitcken, dining, living areas with two bathrooms. Only three rooms so contact them in advance.

Now, about a year and a half back, I wrote that Keishya and Bob were simply the BEST. Well, today, I’d like to confirm that they still are, and not only are they the best, but they are also truly FANTABULOUS! Barefoot Travelers rooms’ motto is: “hangglide. paraglide. kayak. hike” and further: “explore. relax. rejuvenate. redefine.” This is exactly what... More

Pros: Home away from home setting w/ bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, tv room, backyard swimming pool, fresh bananas growing on the trees, and wifi. We didn't stay long so we didn't really get to use much of the guest house but it was an incredibly comfortable environment. I could see it as being a great base of operations to plan your... More

We loved staying here -- it was a perfect home base for the first half of our vacation. Keishya and Bob were great about giving us tips about the area and even helping out with travel arrangements on other parts of the island. We spent a few nights in the Blue Queen room. The furnishings are simple but it was... More

This was a great place to stay just steps away from the beach and a beautiful nature reserve. As a runner I appreciated Keishya drawing me maps of the trails so I could safely navigate on my own to do some running in the reserve and along the beach area. Our kayak trip to Cayo Santiago was awesome with views... More

I hadn't even heard of Trip Advisor before my friend and I decided to plan a quick visit to Puerto Rico. The Barefoot Travelers Rooms reviews stood out from the others, and so we booked a week there. The night we arrived, we watched the SuperBowl with our new hosts/friends Bob and Keisha, and their adorable rescue mutts. It was... More

My only regret is that we were unable to stay more than one night! Keishya and Bob were super friendly, helpful and cool to boot! Looking forward to our next adventure with them.
