Stayed for one night - very pretty town and hotel from the outside. Clean rooms but extremely basic - a TV so old that it should be in a museum, duvet cover that doesn't at all cover the whole bed, old decor, no shampoo in the bathroom. We spent two nights here in August 2010 to attend a wedding in Bayrischzell. The Alpenrose was the right place for us to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We did not stay here but we stopped her twice during our holiday after day hikes to get a coffee/tea and something to eat. We experienced very good service and hospitality. Our afternoon tea with Apfelstuddel was delicious and hit the spot after an energetic day on the mountains. It was coveniently situated near the station.
