Although only 20 minutes from Siena, this is a peaceful paradise. We spent a week there in July this year and had a fantastic time. The rooms are simply furnished, but cleaned thoroughly each day (and in the summer make sure you ask for a room with air-conditioning as not all have this). Two years ago we stayed at La Gazzara, and just returned from our second visit- this time with friends- and were just as impressed as before.
