Stayed here for 3 nights on a Shearings coach holiday. On a positive note, the bedroom was large, warm and comfortable. However, the breakfast was extremely basic - fruit juice, bread, ham, cheese and cake - not even any cereals. 2 days we were each given a single boiled egg but the other day were told no eggs available !... Arrived after 15 hr journey, no welcome food or drinks, no night porter, no room service, bar open but had to purchase hot or cold drinks, staff unhelpful, no fire or health n safety notices in english wen shearings coach tours use regularly, no proper fire doors, noise all night from rowdy teenagers outside hotel and traffic, towels like sandpaper... More

Stayed three nights with Shearings. Room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable with twin beds, TV had several channels in English inc BBC 2. As it was a tour booking, the dinner was a fixed menu, but the meals were fine and adequate. Breakfast was typical cold meats and cheese, and more than enough.
