There was a 'homely' feel to our room 'Seascape' at the front of the house which overlooks the bay. Andrew and Tish are delightful hosts. Breakfasts are excellent with much home-made produce and Andrew's 'froached 'eggs. Their garden is delightful, and the house is only five minutes walk from the centre of Coromandel.

What a delightful place to stay! Tish and Andrew made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time in Coromandel even though the weather was not in our favour. They had excellent knowledge of the local attractions and were able to make some great recommendations. The breakfast was delicious and filling! Everything was homemade. Andrew’s “froached” eggs are amazing and we always looked forward to Tish’s tasty daily treats! The house itself is beautiful and well cared for. We stayed in the coastal view room which was lovely. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The TV was set up so you could connect your smartphone to access your own Netflix account etc. The shared lounge area was also comfortable and set up with some games and DVDs for rainy days. We also made the most of the gorgeous backyard, a great spot for a few drinks, fish and chips and/or a game of Kubb. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It was the best accommodation experience we had throughout our NZ travels. We will definitely be staying here again someday! …

What a great find this b&b was delightful helpful hosts Tish & Andrew Bell with lots of great suggestions for walks and things to do. I was in seascape room amazing views, own bathroom and TV, but you also share kitchen/sitting room area with one other room. Lovely breakfast and lots of little extras. I would definitely recommend staying here, less 5 min walk from town lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. Perfect spot!

This is a lovely place situated on the edge of Coromandel in easy walking distance of this interesting small town and a great place to use as a base for exploring the peninsula as we did. Tish and Andrew went out of their way to make our stay memorable from helpful tips about the area to special treats in our room each evening. This was extra special for us as my husband is coeliac and needs gluten free food, we had homemade gluten free breakfast cereal, fresh fruit and eggs each day as well as the gf treats. Can't recommend The Green House too highly easily the best B&B we have stayed in in NZ.

A lovely stay. While the Bells were away, Bob and Glynnis were the delightful hosts. Very cordial, helpful and attentive. They served a delicious breakfast. We had the use of the lounge, complete with computer, wifi, refrigerator, even after dinner port! All in all a lovely stay. Great room, big comfortable bed, and lovely clean bathroom. When we arrived jet-lagged and weary, hosts Tish and Andrew could not have been more welcoming. They certainly went the extra mile to suggest how we could make the most of our time in Coromandel and to help with bookings and we enjoyed their company enormously. The accommodation was perfect for our needs - quiet and comfortable with our own raised deck overlooking the garden where we sat listening to a singing tui. The guest rooms on the first floor have a separate lounge area, fridge and cutlery in case you fancy a takeaway, tea and coffee etc. And every afternoon there was a little surprise treat!

Reading other reviews, we knew the Green House would be good and we were certainly not disappointed - in fact we are still raving to our friends what a brilliant place this is. The rooms and beds are so comfortable with a beautiful seating room between the 2 guest rooms. Our room at the front had an uninterrupted view over Coromandel Harbour and was light and airy. Tish and Andrew are absolutely super hosts; so friendly and helpful about places to visit etc. The breakfast was very good with a great selection of home made bread, jams etc. as well as cooked eggs, bacon. We had an absolutely lovely time there and wish we could have stayed longer. It was certainly a very memorable stay and would not hesitate to give my highest recommendation.

Wow, Ken. Thank you. Your review is wonderful and we really appreciate your complimentary comments. It was a delight having you and Helen to stay and we wished you could have stayed longer too. So much to talk about apart from the attributes of the Coromandel. You could come back and sample the feijoas and figs which are about to be harvested?

The Green House is a restful getaway located within walking distance of the quaint township of Coromandel. The upstairs guest quarters are well appointed, private bedrooms each with ensuite and beautiful views. There is a guest lounge equipped with teakettle, an assortment of teas, French press, local coffee, homemade muffins, chocolates and after-dinner port. We awoke every morning to the Tui singing just outside the window. We enjoyed watching the delightful fantails dancing around the garden as we ate the sumptuous breakfast of fruit salad, Tish's homemade muesli, Andrew's delicious breads topped with jams made from the fruit grown in their orchard. If you ask, Andrew may even treat you to his 'froached' eggs! After breakfast, we wandered the gardens to discover Monarch butterflies emerging from their chrysalis. We loved our weekend with the Bells! Andrew and Tish will delight you with travel stories from their years exploring New Zealand and other parts of the planet.…
