Very Friendly reception. Room very spacious and large size bed. All the amenities you need. Warm room with comfortable chairs and furniture. Good shower. Good Parking and close to town. Stayed only one night so we could visit the caves. Super modern and clean. We were upgraded to room that had a small sitting area, so our room was pretty big. We loved this motel - the staff were friendly, offering use of towels for our cave black water rafting tour. Great sized rooms, laundry, good proximity to caves and has a supermarket a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this motel to other travellers and it was nice not to be in the Waitomo town. Travelled all over the south and north island these last couple of weeks and hands down this is the best, value for money 4 star motel accommodation we experienced in New Zealand. Found that it was furnished and built for the most part out of plywood very interesting and the staff were both professional and friendly.

We stayed just one night. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. It's a quick drive to the caves. The only bad thing was the trains a the back door, but luckily they stopped while we were sleeping. Highly recommend this motel.

Just a delightful little motel. The rooms are incredibly spacious, immaculately clean and fitted out to a high standard. Couldn't really fault Waitomo Lodge - the best thing for me was the good quality king size bed, it is rare to find a comfortable bed in a mid price hotel.
