Better, more modern facilities and larger room than we were expecting. Tum & Phul (may not have been their actual names) were very friendly hosts. We stopped here on a long drive from Wanganui to Auckland, only because it was on the main road and Hamilton was a bit far. Clean, comfortable rooms. Comfortable beds. A one minute walk across the rail tracks to a very good selection of restaurants/diners and the local shops. A very enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Found this motel at the end of a very long days driving and we were so pleased we did. Good comfortable rooms which were very clean and well located. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Dont let John talk you into having breakfast out , he provided us with the best breakfast we had on our 3 week trip.... More
