Le Perigord is your best choice for visiting this part of the Dordogne Valley. It is an attractive hotel and very professionally run. We originally booked for one night but enjoyed the renovated room and the food so much that we extended our stay. We look forward to our return to Le Perigord and to this beautiful part of France.... Our family based ourselves at this hotel for four nights whilst we visited the Dordogne. The hotel is about 4km outside of Roque Le Gageac but less than 1km from Cenac which is right on the river. We toured the local area by pedal cycle (Sarlat, Roque, Domme, Carsac- Aillac) and found the hotel to be ideally located. We didn't... More

Based on the positive reviews we booked at this hotel. We were thrilled to read in the reviews that there was a great vegetarian set menu, which is quite exceptional for a hotel in this region. So we let ourselves be tempted to take the vegetarian half-board arrangement for our entire stay. That was a mistake. It appeared very soon... More

We are sorry you did not apreciate our vegeterian cooking, some how it'is probably due to the fact that we did not realised, you wanted the all stay as vegeterian, we did understand you query, just as if we had a vedgetarian proposition, we would have catered completely different if we realised. Sorry for that, we are happy to know... More

Recently got back from a roadtrip around France and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in! This 2 star hotel must be the equivalent of a 4 star in England. The Couple who ran it were amazing, extremely friendly with excellent english. Rooms are airconned and comfortable with plenty of space. The pool is nice and they... More

We stayed there for 3 nights and didn't expect much, but were stunned by just about everything! When you walk into the lobby you wouldn't believe what the rooms are like. They are airy and fresh, recently renovated and large. We liked the interior decoration, very modern yet cozy. Bed was big and comfy, also the bathroom was one of... More

This was a great hotel -- and the dinner (particularly the vegetarian set menu) was divine! The owner and his wife were lovely, friendly and very helpful.

This isn't expensive, so don't expect too much, but this was my favourite hotel in the Dordogne region. Vegetarians have to stay here - they really made an effort to provide interesting vegtarian options, which is really hard to find in this region. The staff were SO friendly and helpfu, and the location is lovely. It is a bit out... More

Two years later, the same good value, helpful hosts, decent food, great position. Still needs a makeover! The only thing different here was that the restaurant was closed the first night of my stay and I don't think I can see that on the website, and certainly the booking service I used didn't tell me. On the second night i... More

Pleasant hotel, nice grounds and good view up to Domme. Good location for exploring Dordogne region, but a little isolated. Much easier to find than I expected. Good hotel for the price but not exceptional Staff friendly and rooms comfortable, though a refurb wouldn't hurt. Large car park with easy access to main road towards Sarlat, Domme or La Roque... Came upon this hotel by chance in the Logis de France book. Found it great value - went for half board option and the food was excellent. The service seemed much better than I would have expected from a hotel in this price range and the staff were all very friendly - particularly the husband and wife who own it.... More
