5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2013 NEW

Wanted a good room, with good food, with a good central location for a bit of touring National Trust properties in the Midlands (as having just renewed my NT membership, wanted to get my monies worth.....!) The Halford delivered in every respect. We had a very purple and quirky suite of rooms, with exceedingly low beams, but how lovely to... More

Slightly off the beaten track but what a find! Excellent surroundings, good food and beautiful room, well suite actually, but mind your head as you would expect low slung beams and doorways. Lovely courtyard to rear through the cobbled entrance.

we drove past and popped in for a coffee. i saw there was a spa on site and on asking a very lovely barperson i was in for a quick eyebrow wax. i cant rate the hotel on a decent coffee, but heads up to the lovely girl behind the bar who was very enthusiastic about the hotel food, and... More

Found this gem through a booking site and very glad we did. Needed a one night stay on the bank holiday weekend (May 5th/6th). We arrived about 19.15 and even though they were very busy we were greeted very warmly and shown to our room straightaway. We had booked to eat in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The... On a very cold, snowy night we arrived to a warm welcome and a spacious and warm room. We had a light evening meal in the bar which was very tasty. A very comfortable bed BUT the green light on the ceiling is BRIGHT! If you are light sensitive this is a real problem. Unfortunately we had not brought our... More

The staff were friendly and the food was okay, BUT the rooms have one major flaw. There is a round green light in a strip on the ceiling above the beds, which lights up the room at night like a beacon. If you need it to be dark to sleep, then you won't like it as the whole room is... More

Stayed on business, and found an warm welcome in the bar/check in area. Was personally shown to my room, which was a nice touch. Rooms a little quirky, which is great and what you would expect from a building of this age, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Dinner was taken in the bar, rather than the restaurant itself, which although very... More

I had a gel manicure at the salon in the hotel, they lasted the 3 weeks and Charlotte the beauty therapist was very friendly and professional. My family and I also had lunch which was fantastic, will definately be returning!

Took the family for Mothers Day . The waitresses couldn't have been more helpful and were great with the kids. Food gorgeous and a good price for the quality and quantity. The kids snacked on loads of bread which was really nice not to have stuck on the bill like most places. Puds were gorgeous the best brownie I've ever... More

Nice lunch location with a good selection of options from paninis, salads and main meals with attentive service. The specials look good although we opted for just a snack. Great Beer too - Hook Norton on draught, a real taste of the Cotswolds!
