Discovering this part of Andalusia? We are. This is telling but it would be selfish to keep it to ourselves. The 'escuela' is great! Lovely, very friendly owners Toni & Imanol, quiet and nice comfortable rooms, nice surroundings and close enough to everything. We just hope we'll be able to book a room when we come back.....

My husband and I spent two weeks at Escuela La Crujia from July 6th to 20th this year. We have for the best part of the last six years stayed in the region in 4 & 5 star hotels, each one fabulous in their own right. We took a chance this year after seeing this accomodation on the internet and... More

Thank you, for your very kind words! We loved meeting you and it was a pleasure, as it always is with all our guests, to get to know you. Yes indeed, see you again in December, we very much look forward to it, and to enjoying that meal in a mountain village we discussed! More

We were lucky to spend a week at the beautiful Escuela. We were in Spain for a friends wedding at a nearby Hotel (Cortija Brava) and to be honest we would not have looked at this part of the Costa Del Sol for a summer break. Well my thoughts of concrete jungles and rowdy brits could not have been further... More

On the way from France to Escuela we were held up on the motorway and robbed so when we arrived we were feeling pretty traumatised but we were met by Toni Waterman(the co-owner) with kisses and a glass of wine and told not to worry about paying the bill until we had got our finances in order......and could she lend... In Escuela we and the family rented two rooms (out of three) for 2 weeks (June / July 2012). The guesthouse is perfectly located for trips to the coast (approximately 10 km), as well as for exploring the cities and natural wonders of Andalusia (Granada, Malaga, Gibraltar, Sierra Nevada). The rooms and kitchens were fully equipped to satisfy all our... More

Went to the escuela in August 2011 and it couldn't have been better. We chose here as its pretty central to all of the places we wanted to visit, but we ended up not wanting to move from the lovely surroundings. Hiring a car is essential as when we did manage to drag ourselves away we were within distance of... More

The hospitality, relaxed atmosphere and the green large plot make you feel at home while away from home. Buildings with a touch of the old Spain and gardens full of fruit trees and a lovely pool, table tennis, covered porch with views and barbecue. Clean, rooms are cosy, ideal for longer stays, well insulated walls and windows with blinds so... More

We stayed here for two nights in the only bungalow which did not have a kitchen. It did have microwave but unfortunately no room to use it. The gardens were beautiful and the little pool idyllic with wonderful views and peace and quiet. The one critisism I would have is that the breakfast was extremely meagre! I would suggest that...
