The receptionist was filthy dirty and rude - the room we were sent to stank of stale fire smoke and the linen was old and threadbare. The light did not even have a fitting and the bathroom was tiny and dated - Stay away!!! We checked out the same afternoon and found accommodation elsewhere.

The scenary is breathtaking and the farm itself is in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately our stay at Admore was ruined by rude staff who did not seem to have any idea about customer service. We arrived late in the evening as we had to drive down from Jo'burg (which took about 5 hours). I had already informed the lodge at... More

Myself, my daughter and son in law and grand daughter of 5 months old spent the weekend at Ardmore Farm...my review will cover a few aspect so please be patient. Not only did they prepare fresh veggies for the babies meals , but their 4 course dinners are to die for, not to mention the full English breakfast served in... More

Although we only spent one night here we immediately felt relaxed and at home in the peaceful surroundings. We had a three bedroom, two bathroom, two storey cottage in the grounds. The decor is,quite understandably, rustic but still had a jacuzzi bath in our en suite bathroom and a four poster bed. We took the deal including four course meal... More

Just left the farm. We were made to feel very welcome especially Willy and the owners Paul and Sue. If you expect hotel standards you will be disappointed, but you don't book a working farm for that. Lilian and I had a great time . The food is wholesome and plentiful and the staff always have a smile and a... More

HI, Stayed at Ardmore Guest Farm for 2 nights, early November, and had a very relaxing time. This was mainly due to the weather, as it rained most of the time we were there. We stayed in a mountainview cottage, which consisted of a free standing thatched roof building. It had one large lounge room, 2 bedrooms and outside patio,... More

We actually visited in November 2011 not December, but I have only joined Tripadvisor recently and December 2011 is no longer available as a review date. We spent two nights there in a Mountain View Cottage - truly awesome view. The "cottage" actually sleeps five comfortably (two double rooms plus a single room) although there were only two of us.... My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights over a long weekend in September 2012, spending one night in one of the 'garden view' chalets / rondawels and 2 nights in one of the 'mountain view' cottages. First impressions were of an absolutely fantastic location and a very relaxed atmosphere, but the 'garden view' rondawel that we were shown... More

Very good lodge with very nice people. Great athmosphere. The rooms are big and very cosy with your own fireplace in every room. Breakfast is ok, with a large range of choices. Diner is fine. There are lot of activities to do in the neighbourhood.

A lovely location in the berg with very nice chalets. I really like being able to share a "house" with friends with a lounge & fireplace. The views were lovely & the bathrooms nice & modern. Unfortunately the food was not great (especially for vegetarians). It was a bit old fashioned. The staff are lovely & very friendly. It was... More
