You start to relax as soon as you get off the launch and wander along the jetty. Everything is within walking distance. The kids are free to run around and explore, usually with some other kids they've just met, everybody is friendly. Rooms are freshly painted and furnished, although bathroom could be updated. Each evening, there is a different activity to... More

Stayed here for three nights, I think Tangalooma Island Resort is definitely a family resort destination. The highlight and core sales point is the feeding of the dolphins and we absolutely loved it, even if the souvenir photo is a rip off. Those dolphins are just wonderful it is amazing how close they swim to the shore. The room in... More

Dear Gogeterus, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Tangalooma and that you would like to return in the future. The beach and environs are spectacular as you have noted and feeding the dolphins is just one of many nature based activities on offer to our guests. I suggest snorkelling at the Tangalooma Wrecks to see the amazing marine life... More

We read the reviews and thought our 2 night stay would be terrible, but that was not our experience at all. We stayed in one of the older units and it looked very much like it was soon to be completely renovated. Yet we found even this older style room very comfortable with magical views over the gardens and out... More

Great location to unwind and escape from the city - only a short ferry transfer from Brisbane! We were there over a long week end , so the resort was really busy - but it is spread out and the beaches are lovely - so at no time did it feel overcrowded. Our particulat accommodation was adequate - old ,... More

Dear travellerE13 You are certainly correct when you say that Tangalooma is a great escape from the city, we are just over an hour away from the city, yet it’s easy to feel you are miles away. We often get feedback from people surprised at the size of the resort, and the amount of personal space available, one of the... More

Tangalooma is a great place. Very helpful staff. Especially Clancy and Vicki at the quad bikes. They made m 7 y.o. daughter feel very comfortable especially when she decided she didn't want to ride any longer. They put her on the back of their tandem and made it fun for her. Food and drinks were expensive as you would expect... More

I stayed for 2 weeks at end of March, in a studio then a 1 bedroom unit with a lovely view. Overall, it was very pleasant and I enjoyed it more than I was expecting. The rooms were clean and well-furnished, a bit jaded now, but I would easily use them again. I did not do many paid tours, but... More

We've just returned from a two night stay at Tangalooma and I will start by saying that we did have a fantastic weekend. However, I'm sorry to say that this was despite a couple of problems we encountered with the resort itself. Moreton Island is stunning and the general grounds around the Tangalooma resort appear to be well looked after.... More

After reading some of the other reviews of Tangalooma, I was getting a bit worried about our impending trip. We were pleasantly surprised during our 6 night stay. After reading how expensive the food was, we took our own food as the rooms were well equipped for self catering. We did eat at the Cafe a couple of times and... More
