We were wooed by the photos on the Hotel website. We wanted somewhere special for a celebratory lunch. The reallity was the worst meal we have ever experienced in France. The snooty wine waiter was put-out when I requested a "carafe" of wine. I really did not want to spend big money on a bottle of wine-we were driving. We... More

First of all, the staff at this hotel was uniformly great. Attentive, helpful, and friendly. (For example, we called the front desk to ask about internet, and five minutes later someone arrived in our room to connect a wireless router.) They really seem to be doing the best they can with what they have...which isn't much. There is not much... More

Stayed in the general accommodation area of the Chateau not the chateau (unfortunately). Rooms are small and VERY HOT. Again, air conditioning that doesn't work. Shower was over bath and shower head located in bath. Very awkward and dangerous to shower as well as water going everywhere as no shower curtain or wall .... Rooms weren't quiet either. Tea and... This is one of those places that looks better in photos than it is. Not that it is bad but it is a couple of stars short of its four star listing. I had the Turpin room. It is scantily furnished in need of a renovation. The room was hot in February and I had the large window wide open.... More

We got to stay in the chateau which was a treat, because they weren't too busy. The rooms and bathroom was very large, however a little tired feeling. It needs a bit of a facelift and the rooms weren't so clean. However the restaurant made up for it! The evening meal was amazing. Breakfast one morning was just bread and... More

My mother and I stayed in this hotel for one night (7/22/07) as a part of a two-week long guided tour through France. We were a couple of the few lucky ones who got to stay in the actual chateau instead of in the orangerie nearby. Our room (called the Turpin room, I think) was an average sized hotel room,... More

We stayed at this hotel while on a property hunt. The website looked good and the location was ideal so we booked. After a long drive we were amazed to be told that the restaurant was closed that evening - and so was the bar as the only member of staff on duty in the whole hotel had not been... More

We needed a place to stay in this area, and the web site looked promising. We had a good (not great) dinner, and a room that was reasonably comfortable but very oddly decorated (is/was shown on their web site -- blue, with stones and driftwood as accents???). The exterior is lovely, but it just wasn't a place we could warm... More

I arrived and was told that they did not have my reservation, however they sorted that out as they had rooms, luckily. The cost was exactly what my travel agent had been quoted so I suspect they had made a mistake at the hotel. I had a chateaux room, the ones in the orangerie ( an annex 100m away )... More

We came one night to this castle-hotel for my daughter's birthday. It was a pleasant surprise. A very pretty, clean hotel, gorgeously decorated and a very kind staff. Good breakfast, huge parking, swiming pool, garden. We loved staying here.
