To call this a hotel or cottage is to the place a disservice.It more like joining a house party. The setting is like a Caribbean island.The accommodation is upmarket beach cottage style and the food is of limited choice but done well. Congratulations!

The Norman Carr Cottage is excellent. The location, the service, and above all the ambience is delightful. Stay here if you possibly can; relax in the shade of the giant sycamore fig tree, gaze out at Lake Malawi, devour the delicious home-cooked food, and thank God that you are alive.

This is the sort of place where you eat your dinner when it gets dark and go to bed. Plenty to do if you'd like a walk along the lake shore and back via the village. This is the only hotel along this stretch so everyone knows you are staying with Taffy and tend to leave you alone. You can... More
