Decided to vacation here for our 1 yr anniversary. Well although Barbados was a very nice place to visit, I felt this hotel was not the greatest decision I made. It was kind of out of the way for everything we wanted to do. The hotel was messy, dirty and smelled. The staff was 'ok'. We are very laid back... More

We arrived at Almond Beach Village Resort, Barbados, 26 Feb 2012 for two weeks where we were charmingly greeted by Hugh with a Welcome Drink - fruity rum cocktail. Very pleasant chap showing us where everything was on the way to our superior beach front ocean view room where we found a complimentary bottle of rum! So after a glass... More

Not that is really matters because this hotel is now closing down but this was so most disgusting place I have ever seen. This place is falling apart It is really run down and disgusting the staff was unfriendly which I can't really balme them since they were going to be out of a job in less than a week.... More

Had 1 week at the ABV - few problems at the beginning with rooms but rectified quickly and had a perfect holiday. Staff friendly even though they had just received the news of the closure, food good, clean rooms and generally good holiday.

Read all the reviews on Tripvisor and decided to give Almond Beach the benefit of the doubt. Having received a good rate directly from the hotel, we thought we'd go in with an open mind. I really wanted to like this hotel and was prepared for some of the negative aspects but in the end i felt the hotel was... More

Just spent a week at ABV (with our second at Mango Bay because of the closure). 1st night we went to Enids and we were a little dissapointed. However, after a good nights sleep everything looked soooooo much better. We went knowing the resort was closing, but only after reassurances that the resort was fully functioning. We couldn't have been... More

The wife and I got married here so it can't be that bad. Been 3 times now and every time it's been a nice relaxing break. I would say rustic rather than luxury. Rooms are nice but they won't wow you. Staff are friendly and helpful and the only problem service wise I've encountered is at breakfast trying to get... More

We spent a week at the Almond Beach Village over Easter. We had a standard room which was huge but very dark with no overhead lights. The room was cleaned every day. The food was OK, but like someone else said you had to continually ask for hot water for tea and coffee in the morning. There were several restaurants... More

Can I just say how sorry my family and I are to hear of the of closer of Almond Beach Village. We have stayed there many many times over 15 years, enjoying every visit. It was getting tired from years ago,I'd hoped it would be sorted instead of closing. We were lucky enough to know it in the good days when it... More
