- the rooms in the main hotel block are old and definitely in need of renovation. Should replace the worn-out carpet with timber or laminate flooring to get rid of the cigarette stench. - low hot water pressure which makes showering a big hassle. - Splendid view of Mt K in the morning before the clouds covered the majestic peak.... Stayed here for 1 night before heading up Mt Kinabalu. We were put up here as part of a package tour. Hotel was somewhat characterless. Very average rooms with aged furniture and fixtures. Laminated were peeling and sliding windows were stuck. Cleanliness of the bed and bathroom was acceptable though. It has a nice garden and viewing terrace looking out... More

The hotel is starting to age and in need of a refurbish however it is clean and the staff very helpful. Food is ok with a reasonable selection. The best bit is when you wake up in the morning and see that imposing mountain just outside the window. WOW. Happy to stay again. We had morning tea before we left... More

It is situated on top of a hill with breathtaking panaromic view of Mt Kinabalu. It has stilt chalets. It is cold in the morning and evening and the air is fantastic. We enjoyed the fantastic view of Mr Kinabalu from our room windows and at their lookout deck. We have wonderful picturesic view without having to go to Mount... More

Although there is only a limited choice of hotels in this area, I would not stay there again. We had a chalet, which is tiny, had horrible old beds and no hot shower. It has paper thin walls and you can hear everything from the adjacent room, so we felt like staying in a cheap motel. Also, there is a... More

The reception area is a lodge hotel style. The cafe serve below average food and the spread of the buffet was limited. The porridge has soury taste and the papaya was not fresh. As the rooms we book were chalets, we had to cross over a suspended bridge. The staff sent our luggages to the chalets. The rooms were bare... More

Our last trip to Mt.Kinabalu was many years ago. Knowing the standard of accommodation on the mountain had not much improved over the years, we reviewed many options before contacting Heritage Resort. We were travelling with grandma (who doesn't like walking) and children (who don't like bugs) so we had to be careful with our choice. Heritage Resort seemed to... More
