A fantastic place to see Etna, in fact she is in the backyard! also great for visiting Taormina and Catania. Others who stayed when we did, also took day trips to Noto and Ragusa. This was the best food we had in Italy! Simple food, cooked well. We chatted with the other guests, and felt very much at home.

A perfect location for exploring all that Eastern Sicily has to offer. We spent one day driving around the base of Etna and visiting the small villages along the way. The second day was exploring Noto and Ragusa. The farm is semi-rustic and the rooms spacious and clean. The smell of citrus in the air is amazing. The entire Family... More

Visited during the first week in April and found the place enchanting. The agriturismo is situated between Etna and the sea and is well served by the road network, since it is close to the autostrada and is half way between Catania and Taormina. The Calabretta family were extremely welcoming and friendly, breakfast was a treat on the sunny terrace... More

We spent 9 days in April and the experience has been excellent. The family who runs the agroturismo makes you feel at home. We went with our two daughters, Carlotta (6) and Alice (4) and they had the best time with Santi, the grandson, Lulu , the lovely dog, the cats and the chickens. They were playing around all the... We had a wonderful time at Agriturismo San Leonardello. Our hosts, Rita and Nino were very gracious, the accomadations were perfect, a quick drive, less than 2 hours to all the sites we wanted to see from Messina to Ragusa. The the food Guiseppe prepares for dinner is definately awesome. Well worth the trip!

We stayed at San Leonardello for 3 nights in late March and wished we could have stayed far longer. The accomodation is beautiful and very authentic, and with enough space. In front of the room we had a terrace with beautiful view with Etna behind and the sea in the front. It gives you peace in your soul sitting and... More

We really enjoyed our stay at San Leonardello. The hosts were so welcoming and keen to help you have a good stay. It was my 50th birthday so my husband asked them to put some candles in a roll or something at breakfast, but instead they brought out a beautiful large slice of cake. The room was very large, rustic... More

Three of us stayed at San Leonardello for a week in November. The Calabretta family was wonderful, welcoming, and extremely hospitable. We had a two bedroom apartment. The space was wonderful. The terraces provided views of Mt. Etna and the Sea. Breakfast was wonderful Be sure to buy a bottle (or 3) of their limoncello!

We stayed at San Leonardello for 3 nights in early September and would have gladly stayed far longer. The accomodation is gorgeous and very authentic, the facillities (including saline pool) are excellent and the surroundings are stunning. With Etna behind and the sea to the front, you are spoilt for choice as to where to sip your pre-dinner drinks. The... More

We stayed at San Leonardello for 8 days in September 2012 and had a wonderful holiday with relatives who joined us from other parts of Italy. We loved the situation, the fabulous food and the new swimming pool. All of the Calabretta family made us most welcome and were so kind. Sitting on the terrace, sipping Sicilian wine, surrounded by... More
