Sometimes traveling in exotic reaches such as this, what one really wants is a place where any surprises are pleasant surprises. I liked this place a lot. It was clean. Nothing was broken. Their wake up knocks were dependable. Lighting was adequate and dependable.Nothing got messed up. The hot water worked. The A/C worked. The electric outlets worked (don't laugh. I... More

An unbeatable location in the Desert. Just outside the Park entrance with a Gas Station and shop next door. Comfortable and spotless chalets.Cool drinks overlooking the water hole.Evening dining and BBQ under the stars. Food delicious. Staff helpful. Only small drawback was the very small swimming pool with a few hard chairs and very little shade. We enjoyed our stay.

Sublime accommodation in the desert. Having an air conditioning in a tent is somewhat of an extreme luxury. Dinner was perfect, so was breakfast and lunch. One could stay for a few days here. We enjoyed ourselves and wish we could have stayed for two nights, unfortunately they only had one night available and we were booked in their other... More

Paying twice as usual, sleeping in a thing that´s half a bungalow (entrance/bathroom) and half a tent (sleeping room), and diner times shortened by the personel, that closes 1 hour early. Lots of things to do (for extra money - not like at Ai-Ais...)

I don't know how they did it, but far from the nearest center, they have created a wonderful lodge deep in the Namib desert. The units are tents, built on to a concrete struture, air conditioned, and attached to the bathroom. The food is good, and the drinks are cold. Everything is here right next to the incredible dunes of... More

Firstly, Be aware this place is outside the park gates so you will not be able to enter the park and view the sunset and sun rise in the park. There is a rule that they open the park at Sunrise and close at sunset. The sossusvlei is 70kms from the lodge. If you want to see the sunset and... More

We were truly amazed to find this quality and variety of food in this very remote place. Actually, our best meal during our two week tour of Namibia. Both dinner and breakfast were very high quality and good value for money, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Excellent game steaks (with zebra and oryx being our favourites). Half... We had the most wonderful time at this fine establishment. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - across the board. From the reception staff to the waiting staff to the adventure centre staff. The dining experience was absolutely unforgettable - you have instilled some expensive tastes in my children. The rooms were a bit too small but the air-conditioning... More

We had a very nice stay at Sossusvlei lodge! The room was nice, the staff very friendly and the food was tasty! Our kids aged 7 and 5 really enjoyed the swimming pool in the hot summer days. (The lodge is situated in the middle of nowhere and when we left Windhoek we had to drive for many hours. There... More
