A long row of very large, confortable tents on wooden frames. They are elevated from the ground so you don't need to worry about animals getting inside. The access is made from a long bridge connecting the tents with the pool area and the main building with its restaurant, reception, shop. I really enjoyed this place, but some people might... More

Great location inside the park which definitely gave the edge on reaching the dunes in the morning. The down-side is the distance you can find yourself having to walk to get to your room from the main area. The chalet was special, very well furnished and relaxing. We think it would be rather hot in summer - there was one... More

We stayed at the Sossus Dune Lodge as we wanted to see the sunrise in the dunes. If you stay outside the national park, you get access too late and miss the sunrise. We stayed two nights and ordered breakfast bags for both mornings. Regarding the complaints of other reviewers about the size of the bags: you get juice, apple,... More

Positives: Our room was huge, with the bathroom being one of the largest we've ever had, and the shower was a great one. High standard of the decor and fittings. The private deck with the lounge chairs were the place to relax. Location can't be beat, our sunset view was beautiful. Cons: One weak fan in the room had little... More

Best location to reach the dunes before sunrise if you drive you own 4x4. Picnic breakfast rather small, service slow and not very friendly. When returning the second evening from the dunes, there were no shuttle and we and 2 more couple set out on foot. Dinner: 3 course with only a choice between 2 options for mains. Steep tariff... Our experience in this hotel was fabulous. Location is from outer world, rooms are excellent and food is very good. Being inside the national park allows you to reach the dunes before sun raise. Service could improve.

We loved our rooms, especially as we were overlooking a small waterhole. The location is fantastic and being inside the national park means that you can be the first ones up the sand dunes watching the sun rise. Some staff were fine and our guide was excellent but some were a little unfriendly. Room was ok, however, the picnic breakfast... More

Your trip to Sossuvlei will be incomplete if you don't stay at Sossus Dune Lodge. The location is perfect you get first hand view of the dunes since its inside the park. The view of sunset from the lodge is serene. I spent my Birthday at this lodge, and it was a very very memorable one. Its difficult to find... More

We spent 2 nights here on our honeymoon. We booked mainly because it was situated within the park meaning we could get to the dunes by sunrise & stay until sunset. The place was beautifully laid out and the staff very friendly. The food was good. The only problem we had was with our 4x4 which we did not know... More

As noted, staying here just to climb the dunes in the pre-dawn cool and catch the sunrise is totally worth it. But the rooms are also extremely nice, and we had nothing but attentive service. The food was unmemorable, but food's not what you'll remember about Sossusvlei regardless.
