Like others said: Very handy location for the ferries to Norway and the Faroes, or for a visit to the Nordsøen aquarium. Otherwise probably suited for conferences. In my room there was no smoke detectors or fire protection. In the hall outside my room there was only one smoke detector in one end. There are no aircondition or ventilation in the rooms so in summertime when it's sunny it gets way to hot to sleep..

This hotel bears every mark of long overdue maintenance need (e.g rattling elevators and worn down carpets) and modernization (no air conditioning). Worse, the rooms are not well cleaned. The hotel layout and service is such that you must transport your luggage through long corridors and stairs.The sweet female receptionists cannot compensate for all this.
