This is not a "take it or leave it" type of service but definitely in the world class level. An exceptional hotel, small, intimate, special ambiance with a focus on good food and two great hosts, All the ingredients are locally sourced and of a very high quality. The menu is selective and will satisfy the majority of discerning diners.... More

We have had the pleasure to stay at Crossways quite a few times.Every time has been memorable, the food and service is excellent.Menus change frequently, local sourced food and special service explaining each course.Breakfast is great-not sure we should have indulged after the previous nights dinner which was excellent. There are various offers at certain times,so enjoy. We will be back.

We needed to escape city life (Brighton) for a few days but did not wish to leave Sussex. Crossways was a perfect choice. The hospitality was excellent. The food was very special indeed; on a par with top London restaurants we have dined at.The superior double room was comfortable. We saw the interiors of some of the standard double rooms... More

This is a hard review to write because I liked the hotel despite a number of drawbacks. The hotel is on a busy road. Turning right out of the hotel requires patience waiting for a gap in the traffic. The room was small but adequately furnished. The shower room (no bath) was tiny and cramped. Nice touches with sewing kit,... More

Thank you for taking the time review your stay with us here at Crossways. We appreciate your comments and strive to act on any suggestions received. The road gets busier all the time and unfortunately there is not a lot we can do about that. Crossways is a Georgian house and our guest rooms vary in size, fitting en-suite bathrooms... More

My employer booked me into this place and after a four hour drive I found out that they didn't serve evening meals on Monday's. It's only a short walk to the nearest pub, but I would expect a hotel to serve food on every day of the week. The room was nice and comfortable, but no separating door between the... More

Thank you for taking the time review your stay with us here at Crossways. We appreciate your comments and strive to act on any suggestions received. Crossways is very much a Restaurant with rooms, we are owner operated and I am also the chef and would find it impossible to serve dinner seven nights a week. We do make it... More

We have just returned from a three night stay at Crossways. When we arrived, David met us and made us feel very welcome. We were booked into a standard room on the first night, and a superior room for the second and third night. Both rooms were cleaned to an extremely high standard. The beds were comfortable and there were... More

Crossways is like staying at a friend's home. The seven rooms are individually furnished and decorated. Everything you are likely to need is provided including fresh milk in the fridge for your tea or coffee. What a difference that makes. The big must is to dine at the hotel. The food is from a monthly fixed-price menu and you would... More

Choice of food very good and when it arrived exceeded expectations. Room first class, very comfortable, warm, clean, quiet. Charming hotel setting. Couldn't fault the service in the Restaurant. Not cheap but worth every penny. Have booked again for visits in August and September for special celebrations.

Just had the most amazing stay at Crossways, the room was lovely and cosy and the welcome warm and friendly. Food was just amazing and the service great. David and Clive are great hosts and we felt pleasantly at home and relaxed. We will be coming back again soon, especially as the room rate included a meal deal - overall... More

Crossways is an exceptional venue for those "Special Events" , we have been on a number of occasions now & cannot fault anything...the accommodation is excellent & comfortable with every item you could possibly want in the room, the atmosphere is relaxed while the service & care for detail is second to none. The Restaurant is elegant & intimate, every... More
