Located near army camp of Kemunting. About a few kilometers from City of Taiping. The rooms with connecting door that we took are very small, but managed to place all of us, just for overnight sleep. At the time we stayed there, there are also rooms without windows, so please be careful. I just can't imagine that..

We only booked this hotel because the one we wanted to stay in was full. There's nothing special about this hotel. The hotel sit opposite of what looks like a military base and it's not actually in Taiping. To get to Taiping you'll need to drive a bit further down the road, so you'll need a car or take a... More

The hotel is not very exquisite in any sense, but its location, easy access and a relaxed ambiance makes it an ideal spot to choose for stay in Taiping. The deluxe room is spacious and comfortable. The hotel bar is very popular with locals and travellers alike, offering the usual drinks

Reserved a deluxe room 2wks prior, upon check in staff told me rooms fully booked! My parents were tired after a long drive and we actually waited almost 30 mins to be served at the counter as the staff was new (i presumed cos he was darned slow) and he had some trouble with another customer which kept us all... We were en route to Penang Island from KL via the Cameron Highlands and this proved to be a good place to stopover for a night. Room was clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal al fresco, which was reasonably good value, and when it started to rain a "roll out" canopy / roof prevented us from getting wet!... More

I have just stayed 3 days 2 nights in SSL Traders hotel during Chinese New Year last week. We took the Queen Deluxe and overall it was a pleasant stay although there are quite a few areas that I'm not satisfied with. As I entered the hotel, the lobby looks pretty promising for a hotel in a small town like... More

I had 2 great meals at the Chinese restaurant however the hotel is very average but hey its provincial Malaysia and its good value for money. The lobby is cheap and tacky, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is awful and the staff are friendly. Parking is right outside and the wireless internet is OK. So if you... More

We get a superior room which is really small and located next to the house keeping store room, the room has bad sound proof design and we can always hear their staff' talking and laughing. The breakfast is included but really have not much choices, don't even provide a sunny side up in the morning.....room rates is over pricing. Not... More

I paid rm 100 per night. Booked on their website. They called to say only windowless room available. Room clean, bathroom basic and small. Breakfast very simple buffet. Attendant came 15 minutes late but food was already laid out by 6 am. Location is near Kamunting. Convenient if you have a car. Parking shed for 5 cars, but lots of... More

SSL Traders is one of those hotels that do not have their own premises. They are situated in a shop block, but they do have their own block. This makes it convenient in some ways as the closeness to other shops makes it easy for us to pop down to the convenience store to buy snacks or other items. It... More
