Unfortunately with this kind of price range, even the smallest mistakes are unforgivable. We were expecting far better service and food for one thing. The tours were poorly organized and being a horse fanatic, I was not impressed with the ones we were provided with. Overall the property is nice, but the view from cuernos del paine is far more... My wife and I had originally booked to stay at Explora Lodge in Chile's Torres del Paine in late January 2012, but wildfires in the National Park and smoke damage to Explora meant that we (and many other Explora refugees) had to rebook into Tierra Patagonia at the last minute. Tierra Patagonia had only opened just before Christmas and the... More

As other reviewers have commented, this is a beautifully designed hotel with a spectacular view (particularly at sunrise) of the massif reflecting in the lake. Swimming in the LARGE pool with spectacular views was a highlight at the end of the day. Unlike many other hotels in the area, it had a handicapped accessible room and the staff made every... More

Still in it's infancy and still getting things right but the spectacular location, the incredible design of the hotel and sublime spa help you to overlook the few things that are wrong. The food is average at best - well presented plates served in a stunning dining area but it is poorly made by clearly someone who isn't a great... More

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at this fabulous hotel. Like several other reviewers our travel agent suggested this hotel after the fires in the Park. We were delighted it is very modern wood and glass structure all the rooms have a fabulous view of a lake Torres del Paine in the distance. Rooms are very comfortable, kingsize beds... More

We were very disappointed to learn about the fires in Torres del Paine and the cancellation of our stay at EXPLORA; however, our travel company convinced us to go to Tierra Patagonia Hotel as an alternative. Relutantly we agreed and we are so glad we did. What a magnificent piece of architecture and a place beyond my wildest dreams. We... More

The site, the design, the comfort, the staff, and activities are superb. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool at the end of a day of hikes and rides. The assistance and advice in planning our day were both informed and personal. Of the four dinners and two lunches, only one was a bit disappointing, and some of the dishes were... More

We have just returned from a stay at the Tierra Patagonia and would thoroughly recommend it. Like many others staying at the time, we had originally booked into the the Explora hotel in the park itself and were diasappointed that it had had to claose as a result of the recent fires. We ended up very happy that we had... More

After being unable to stay at the Explora hotel due to fire we stayed here as it looked similar. What a fabulous surprise! Amazing location. What can I say about that view apart from jaw dropping?! Food was great, guides excellent, service fantastic, amazing massages in the spa. I agree with previous comments about packed lunch quality, portion sizes at... More

We were in awe of the dramatic light changes over the Torres del Paine reflected in Lake Sarmiento in front of Tierra Patagonia, all from bedside! Conveniently 45 minutes from the National Park we enjoyed trekking, horse back riding and an estancia BBQ. The guides were friendly, helpful and informative. In time the enthusiastic staff of this 3 month old... More
