The last station on our Songtsam Tour was Shangri-La. The Hotel is beautiful while a bit bigger then the other two hotels we stayed before. The view from the room towards the lake is magnifcant as well the location is superb. Our Guide Topten arranged on our second at a tour to his native village which is a hidden paradise.

Sitting on a hill overlooking the nearby monastery, this is a classic hotel. Silk hanging over your bed. Wooden bathtub. Wonderful food in a variety of cuisines. Helpful staff. It's not in the town, but that is probably a blessing.
