we stayed here for one night on our road trip through spain as we travelled from sevilla to madrid. wonderful setting, spectacular scenery. the room was bigger than i expected and had a view onto the castle courtyard. the birds were constantly chirping (which i like) and i really enjoyed how appropriately decorated the whole place was. it was in... We enjoyed this Parador for its charming building and public rooms, you felt like you were staying in a very elegant country home like a french chateau. The room was surprisingly good, the bed had a halftester and the bathroom was very roomy. We had paid the minimum by opting for the new fixed price deal(100 euros), which was a... More

We stayed at this Parador in September while on a road trip through Spain. The setting was stunning, as the castle is perched above a lovely town made up of golden buildings. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening - we had the pool to ourselves as the sun set, and then we dined on delicious local cuisine in the restaurant. Our... More

Every Parador we have stayed at have always been wonderful. This one was beautiful, we were assigned a room on the 5th floor which needed the use of two elevators to get to this floor, no big deal, once we got to the room, the safe wouldnt work, got fixed promptly, unpacked and decided to go sightseeing, except that we... In an historic surround with a view from the dining area towards the mountains, this was a memorable restaurant. Fixed price menu available (32, 37, and 50 Euro). Guests at the Paradore receive 5% off dining. Elegant surroundings, near goumet food, and great service. Pork dishes especially tastly. Lunch at the Paradore de Opresa was marvelous!

The Parador of Oropesa was the very first Parador in Spain. It is a hotel set in a castle built in the 1300s. It sits on a dominant hill above the plains of La Mancha. It truly is a museum as well as a castle. The paintings, furnishings and memorabilia are of interest to history buffs. The setting is wonderful,... More

Of all the places in our tour of Cuenca, Toledo and now here, this was the best hotel. The atmosphere here is wonderful and romantic. Goodness sake we stayed in an old palace connected to a castle! It doesn't get much cooler than that. Our room was on the 5th floor which gave us a great view over the town.... More

On a relaxed drive from Toledo we came upon Oropesa and entered grand entrance to enchanting Castle courtyard. A real castle with really friendly staff at reception making us feel welcome. Lovely dip in pool before we had a truly splendid dinner and wine with exceptionally friendly waiters engaging all members of family. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit

We had our wedding celebration there recently and also stayed for two nights. The hotel is in a wonderful location and full of character given the old buildings and antique furnishings. Our room was lovely with dual aspect, four poster bed and lovely and clean (if somewhat basic) bathroom. It had a mini bar, wifi and air con. Our wedding... More
