We stayed here for a weekend earlier in the year. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly, and the room was clean and bright, with a little balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. We ate in the hotel both evenings, and enjoyed dinner both times. While it wasn't cheap, (gastronomic cooking never is!!) we felt it was good value,... More

Disappointing in size of room, pillows and mattresses that have seen better days, little insects on the bed and a resident spider on the wall. Don't get me wrong, sheets were clean but somehow the smell of used pillows ensured that sleep evaded us. Mattresses were sunken in the middle. The room we had looked nothing like the photos. This was our last night in France en route home, and we chose this hotel for its 'gourmet' restaurant as a treat. Our (out of date) Routard guide said it was 'ultra classy' plus it was in the Relais & Chateaux guide, so we thought we were onto a winner. When we arrived, the lady on reception did not even... The reception ,Restaurant, ambience and swimming Pool and Grounds are very good. The hotel is based around an old Water Mill and there are large windows in the Restaurant that overlook the small river and the Waterwheel. The staff are friendly and helpfull and one feels comfortable with the surroundings and the whole experience. Our only negative comment would be... More

Lovely hotel, the room was very clean, the bathroom was also very clean and modern, good shower. The room we were in (Number 4) was more than acceptable, ok the decor was not to our taste but otherwise lovely. The staff could not be more helpful. Food was "ok". Yes there is a high speed rail link nearby but this... More

Great location for overnight stop through France for UK bound travellers. Nice gardens, clean rooms and a great restaurant overlooking the mill wheel. Food good, slightly over fussy in presentation, but good menu. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Stayed two nights whilst on motoring holiday in France and found it a very relaxing stay. The room was clean with a well equipped bathroom. Our only complaint was the rather scruffy balcony which let down the exterior of the hotel, although we did have a nice view of the garden . We enjoyed our meals in the restaurant overlooking... Stopped here for one night on way back to Calais having consulted the Chateau & Hotels of France Guide. The Moulin is in a rural area and a long detour off the motorway but we found it without problem. As another reviewer has commented, the reception area is reached by climbing several steps which is not easy when carting a... More

We spent one night here. There are many steps up to the reception, which is not mentioned in their publicity. This is important as I need sticks to walk and my husband was also using a cane at the time as he had hurt his knee. No help was offered with our suitcases and we were simply pointed to our... More
