I stayed with Tim and Belinda in July 2009. I was with 5 friends on a mountain biking weekend. Tim organised excellent mountain bikes for us, gave us detailed maps of the area with suggested routes and different levels of difficulty. Tim Bateman and Belinda Carpenter have renovated Mainstone House over several years and the results are impressive. My room was spacious and bright with wide views of Rothbury's main street and green. The bed was agreeably firm and the shower room had high-quality fittings.
