What a lovely place! Everyone is friendly and awesome. Superb cooking from Diego the chef (my favourite was the chicken cooked in the myto leaf) and amazing homemade lemonade. Very knowledgeable guides talking about medicinal plants on the jungle treks. Loved wandering through the jungle and waterfalls. The cave trip was a blast too, swimming through the water in the... My review is subjective because (a) I traveled alone and (b) the day I was there just happened to be election day. I first want to say if you want a real Amazon experience, I would pay the extra buck and get a lodge in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Huasquila is in the secondary jungle, so hardly the real deal,... More

Dear Alan, Thank you for your review. For us too it was very nice to get to know you. We are very sorry you were our only guest that night. As you might have noticed, we were expecting seven other guests that night, but on the way there one of them got really sick on the way there and they... More

We stayed at the lodge for two nights from 13 Nov 2012 onwards. We booked our stay prior to our departure from the UK and found the information on the website and booking process very easy. Our pick up from Quito arrived early at the pre-arranged pick up point. Everything from our pick up to our drop off was incredibly... More

Spent one night in Huasquila a few weeks ago with a tour group. The service was excellent and very attentive. Food was good though perhaps portions were a bit on the small side. The owner was very helpful and did everything possible to make sure the group was comfortable. Accomodations were very clean, well maintained, and a mellow peaceful atmosphere... More

I've visited Huasquila 5 times with huge groups of teenagers. We had a blast and I felt great knowing they were learning and enjoying nature and being safe at the same time. The service received is superb! Please try their "champinones al ajillo" delicious!!!

just got back from huasquila, after a long weekend with our kids. They are still wishing to get back any minute! the drive from Quito was a highlight for itself! Not a single dull moment! rise to the andean pass, fantastic paramo, crossed by an ancient lava flow as the gate to the Amazon. That is only the beginning! from... More

I am an adventure specialist from the UK, so I am very aware of standards and value for money. My reason for choosing Huasquila, was that I was doing a Galapagos trip but wanted a jungle experience before hand without the hassle of yet another flight. This option was perfect. I chose the option of the private transfer from Quito... More

I traveled with a group of six to Huasquila Lodge. We had the four day, three night package including lodging, food, tours and transfers from Quito, Ecuador. We enjoyed our beautiful bungalows. The food was amazing. The tours were very interesting and we learned a lot about the flora of the jungle. Our guides' knowledge about the uses of the... More

As a local I found Huasquilla as a great place to rest, but the short time I stayed didn't let me enjoy the place as I should, they need to improve or plan a schedule for travelers, looking for adventure or just to relax. Food was good, maybe I'm being too demanding but a good coffee machine, not the regular... More

We stayed at the Huasquila Jungle Lodge for 3 nights. The lodge was located just outside of Cotunda. The lodge was well kept, the room was clean, and the gardens were beautiful. It was not deep in the jungle so therefore there isn't a lot of wildlife present. However, we did see lots of birds, insects, a snake, and smaller... More
