The location is undoubtedly the show-stopper - only 35 minute drive from funchal airport and 10 mins north of Ribeira Brave it's not difficult to access, even if reliant on taxis. The place is perfect, the hotel is very good, I really enjoyed the stay. BUT: I strongly recommend renting a car, if you stay in this hotel.
