Terrific location away from it all in the hills. Lovely lake views and lots of sandy tracks to walk around the hills and down to the lakeside. just returned from a lovely hol in sardinia stayed at valkarana for the second time. hubby fished on lake i relaxed by pool met some lovely people had lovely food very clean room salvatore and staff were great cant fault a relaxing hol hopefully we will return

This is a lovely small hotel in a secluded location in the lovely countryside of Gallura overlooking a lake. This was our second visit, and we would happily return again. Salvatore (owner) and his staff are extremely friendly, and the food in the restaurant is excellent. Lovely swimming pool, and about 40 mins drive to great beaches.

If you stay in this hotel, expect, a beautiful location, overlooking the lake, there is hardly a building in site , no roads or boats on the lake. We had the pleasure of staying for a week in June and had a lovely time. Great for a relaxing break in a very quite location. Also recommend the resturant for good food and service. Only gripe no internet service in room and there was a charge for internet use in hotel reception. There wa no cell phone signal.

High up in the hills and well away from it all this is a really lovely gem of a find. The views across the lake at breakfast / lunch / dinner are stunning.
