I can't believe I was stuck here for 2 nights! The room was tiny and very cold (70 degrees with no adjustment possible). The only small window was frosted glass so it had no natural light .The throw rug on the floor was filthy. The bolt and chain locks on the door were broken. They did fix the chain after... More

The Parador Guanica 1929 is a historic building. We cannot forget that, this is a historic building and it was built by the Americans in 1929 for the Guanica Sugar Plantation. This is part of our Puerto Rico history and we are proud of it!. This is why our rooms are different in size, some are small equipped with one... More

During our two-week trip around the island this is the only spot we elected to stay two night in a row. There's plenty to do in the neighborhood - swimming, snorkeling, hikes in the national forest, boat trips. Furthermore it's a clean part of the country. We liked the villages. The room at the parador was very clean and a... More

Parador Guanica 1929 was an old sugar mill "Hacienda" restore as a Parador (Hotel). It has an antique flavor to it, so dont expect a lot of accomodations. Although it is comfy, if you are lucky and get a nice cool night, you will definetely enjoy the surroundings. El parador is right off route 116, very accessible and easy to... More

This parador is now part of a hotel/restaurant training school. It was the first time we stayed there but we found everything very lovely. The staff was extra helpful, the room was large with microwave, coffee maker and refrig. Had breakfast every day and it was always good. Ate dinner there twice and found the food very good. Combined with... More

I stayed overnight with my family earlier this month and really enjoyed my visit. The hammocks under the trees to the right side of the property were very relaxing. The time I spent in the pier in the evening was magical. The staff went out of their way to make sure they could accommodate a family member with limited mobility... More

We live in San Juan and my daughter had a school report to do on the lighthouse in Cabo Rojo and a river in Ponce. We decided to make it an overnight event and looked for a mid-point. We found this "tropical inn" in Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. We reserved a two double bed room.... More

Very clean, nice pool (maybe a little on the small side), relaxing views and surroundings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good. Room was a nice size, only problems were the AC unit blew right on the bed and we were unable to adjust the temp or fan speed and the toilet would run until you... More

The building and grounds are beautiful. Close by Gilligan's island and the Dry Forest. The corner room on the second floor was small and tired but the bed was comfortable and clean. There didn't seem to be much hot water in the morning for a shower. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. We didn't eat in the... More

Stayed one week at this parador ("Tropocal Inn they call it). The rooms are average, no fancy features, TV has a few channels (1 or 2 in english), all furniture is old, the place looks old but is kept clean, meaning no crawling insects that we could see. The air conditioner worked great which is a must due to the... More

We enjoyed our stay at Parador Guanica. But note that this hotel is not for everyone. The room was spacious and clean. It was on the second floor and there is no elevator or bellhops to help with bags, which was fine with us. However, If you have trouble with stairs, ask for a ground floor room. There is a... More
