We flew into Waterford Airport in the middle of the recent freeze for a four day stay. Our hire car at the airport had been defrosted and warmed - what a lovely touch from Budget - we made our way to the outer ring road, over 5 roundabouts, and took a left into Old Kilmeadon road - all the roads... Sept 2010: Just back from a few days in Waterford Manor. Brought my elderly parents for a short break. Only 1hour 45mins from Dublin, and a few minutes from the centre of Waterford, the calm countryside setting and beautiful gardens make it feel like a world away. The Hotel itself is spacious, lots of comfortable seating in the bar and... More

A little dated, but the house was built in 1740. Large clean room and welcoming staff. Beautiful gardens, excellent food and very well priced. I had read several bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised by what we found. Would we use again? Definatly yes! Pat an Kate are lovely folk and deserve success in their venture. Thanks again! PS. Hope... More

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. Ideal for a relaxing break. Large well furnished room with comfortable bed and generous bathroom. Friendly service and the best meal we experienced on our holiday in Ireland. Well worth a visit especially on a Thursday when adjacent gardens are open to visitors.

Its is such a pity that an amazing place could be run by these creatures. The owners Pat, Kate and their daughter Caroline do not know what hospitality is or how to run the gem of a hotel....only to the ground. I feel that because they live in the hotel they view it as their home so I think that... More

I booked this hotel before reading the trip advisor reviews and I'm glad I did. After reading the reviews I did consider cancelling but decided to give it a try and how glad I am that we didn't cancel. We arrived as the restaurant was about to close but we were still provided with an excellent meal and were not... More

We tired to book a wedding for a small group but we were greeted by a "lady" who was just too busy to deal with us. She was so so rude that I wouldn't want to book my dog in to this "hotel". Perhaps we caught her on a bad day but there is no need to be rude to... More

We ended up stopping here as we were very off schedule for reaching our hotel in Dublin that night. Instead of fussing around trying to find a good B&B, we saw a sign for Waterford Manor Hotel, thought it sounded flash and decided to follow the signs and see if they had any room. When we arrived, at about 8pm,... More

The food was good but that was about the only thing, Staff were very arrogant, bedrooms and other rooms were cold and carpet was wet and the bed was damp, Shower took ages to get some hot water to it, They dont accept credit or laser cards to pay for drink and have no atm so if you run out... More
