We found that "Little Hill of Olive trees" was a beautiful and convenient place. I agree with many of the other reviewers, the welcome was a tad bit cold. I always felt as if I was imposing. The towns people are very friendly. You can't let little things get in the way. We enjoyed our room, other than the whirlpool... More

We had lunch here in early November and loved it - good, sometimes very good food, smart but relaxed atmosphere, heavenly autumnal views. It's a good distance from the main road, but well signposted and easy enough to find. We can only comment on the restaurant, but we had a great time.

When you arrive at the Poggio on a nice Autumn afternoon, if the sky is sunny and open, if you can see this marvelous view on a white Assisi in the distance, this seems a heavenly place to be, but ... Uninterested welcome (felt like I was just that next tourist). We were told where to find the restaurant and... More

On top of the hill near Bettona..... a great family-run vacationparc. What a lovely family. Grandpa, Son, granddaughter, etc...all working hard to make your stay memorable. The restaurant they run is one of the best in the neighbourhood.. The swimmingpool, the views on the valley and the wonderfull surroundings...all great ingredients for a wonderfull stay. The rooms can do little... More

Our experience of Il Poggio was that it is really overrated. We stayed in a separate villa half way down the hill, and not in the rooms near the pool which we understand are better. There was no hot water, no views, no airconditioning, no phone, and not enough space for us to sit and chat inside (it was 36... More

Actually stayed in 2006 - not 2007 - the drop down only goes to 2007. Perfect hillside location, perfect for day trips, superb restaurant, excellent accommodation. We had a lovely room with a terrace and superb views across to Assisi. We're returning in 2010, this time with 8 friends from the US which I wouldn't risk if I was in... More

I and my family had a very nice stay at the Poggio degli Olivi. Our two B&B rooms were large, clean and very nice and, above all, the location is magnificent and very quiet. The main building, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner, overlooks the valley and you can see Assisi on the other side of the valley.... More

I frankly didn't recognise this Agriturismo from some of the mealy-mouthed reviews posted here. We have just spent 5 days there and loved it: stunning position, friendly staff and wonderful food. Also the aircon was very efficient in unseasonal temperatures of 35C+, can't imagine how someone thought it didn't exist! You have to remember that this is not a 5-star... More

Il Poggio degli Olivi has a hillside setting with a great view of Assisi across the valley. The staff was as helpful as they could be considering their so-so English skills. As one would expect with an agriturismo, it's in the country but it's paved roads all the way, and there are signs everywhere in the area pointing to the... More

The place is located on the hills around Assisi and you have a magnificent view from the restaurant. The daughters of the owner were very unpleasant, not willing at all to help. We complained about the water taps on the sink and on the bath tub, since they were clogged with limestone. Nothing was done. The service at the restaurant... More
