A very simple and basic hotel located 3 minutes away from the Borobudur. The landscaping is very well mantained. There was a photo collection inside the room which was very informative. They have a tv channel explaining about Borobudur which was very informative. There was a sign showing that wifi was available. However, could not get wifi from my room;... More

We chose this hotel simply because it was within the complex, with only 3 mins walk to the temple, and the starting point for sunrise tours. You can walk straight to the temple through the grounds without having to battle through the market and parking area with all the tour groups. The place is clean, and has everything you need,... The hotel looks out on the magnificent Bodobudur complex. The landscaping is beautiful. Services are excellent. My room is fine, with standard amenities. The bottom edge of the shower stand shows some rust. There is free wireless internet, but the connection from my room is rather weak. The hotel organizes a sunrise tour of the Borobudur complex. This tour is... More

This hotel is located within the complex of Borobudur. Excellent. It has a downside that must be highlighted that it is about maintaining the hotel. The room really was not good and needed maintenance. It is a shame because the hotel is a fabulous location. Yet if I return to Borobudur hostel in Manohara.

Ok so as per other reviews this isnt the most glamorous hotel but it is clean and you are best to stay here for the simply amazing location which is a 2 minute walk to Borobudur, the grounds of the hotel are lovely with views up to the incredible Buddhist temple of borobudur. The rooms are simple but have everything... More

Stayed in this hotel in April 2012. I liked it a lot. It included the entry fee to Borobudur and all in all was excellent value. On arrival I was given a local welcome drink which I liked so much I asked for the recipe (tamarind, soda water and lemongrass it emerged) The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the rooms,... Summary: recommended, but not because of the rather average hotel: the location is breathtaking and unique and cannot be beaten. Not the greatest hotel in the world. The grounds are gorgeous, but the rooms and service are average. My room was pleasant and clean enough but nothing special. Reasonable aircon and cable TV. Very nice grounds. Overpriced, average food in... More

We just got back from a 2 night trip to Jogja and the best part of it was the part (1 night) that we stayed at Manohara. Clean simple room, more veg food options than other places we've stayed at, quiet and bang next to the Borobudur monument. I loved the atmosphere of this place and wished I could have... More

Not too much to add to previous reviews. The rooms are in dire need of updating. Food is average. No pool. You can look at Borobodur whilst eating dinner. Sunrise tour is good although they should turn off the arc lights earlier and try to shut people up while the sun's coming up. Jabbering tourists with flashbulbs spoil the mood... More

Amazing location and immaculate grounds. We stayed here 1 night and really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and we had a porch with a view of the rice paddies. We toured Borobudur during the day and then at 7 am the next day. It is a very short walk to the temple and from the restaurant, which is an... More
